Sterling Silver Rings
Rocking Your World!

Rings, and especially sterling silver rings, are one of the most familiar forms of jewelry. There's a powerful reason why so many people wear a ring or rings not only on one hand but on both! Ring jewelry rocks!

And what a message rings convey, even more so if you talk with your hands! But even without saying a word, you're saying volumes about yourself when you flash those finger bands about. People notice you!

Sterling silver has gained much popularity as an alternative to gold. It's stronger than pure silver, because of the touch of copper in it. Of course you'll find sterling silver in other jewelry, but just look at these rings by Monic.

Cleaning Your Sterling Silver

Your sterling silver ring requires maintenance. Cleaning is not too difficult, but certain things such as swimming in a pool with chlorinated water can cause discoloration.

Make sure that the cleaning agent used contains no bleach, ammonia or alcohol. This can cause irreparable damage. The cleanser you use can and probably should be diluted with water to be on the safe side.

Use a soft brush on your silver rings. Don't use hard bristles. After it's dried, use a pure cotton cloth. This helps to ensure that your silver rings are not scratched or damaged in any way.

"925"

How do you know what the purity of your ring is? It should have a "925" stamped and though this can be forged, it's not very common. The number indicates that the ring is made of at least 92.5% silver.

You need to store your sterling silver carefully. It's best to make a habit of this. It should be in a cool place and away from sunlight. This helps to prevent it from becoming discolored. You can use an airtight plastic bag which should help it from getting tarnished.
